Re: Anglo Dutch War

A late response. Nice job with the modifications. Just to clarify no square rigged ship should be able to sail closer than 60 degrees to the wind. It is not to do with the wheel, just the way the rigging is set up - the geometry if you will. The ships were generally not as weatherly that is correct ...

Re: KMH with Black Seas Ships

Not yet. I intend on using the "To Covet Glory" supplement for lake battles using large scale ships - It was written with larger scale ships in mind. The author did not change the movement and fire distances so we'll see how that plays out. (Although he uses inches until the ships come into range.)

Re: Faster turn sequence

I have run games at shows with 4-6 tanks no problem. It helps to have a referee move the players along in their turns though.

I have seen house rules for the sequence. Instead of dicing to see the order of play you draw cards. Speeds up this aspect of the game.

KMH at Historicon with Lard America

As part of the Lard America group I ran a KMH game at Historicon in Lancaster PA. The Battle of Lissa 1811. A battle of Frigate squadrons in the Adriatic. The British squadron of Elite JJTs got separated and defeated by the numerically superior Franco-Venetian squadron. Here are some photos: The Bri...

Re: M8 Greyhound

Same gun as the Stuart so strike 4 spot on. Armor varied from 15-19mm frontally but only was 9mm on the side. Turret was 19mm all round. The Japanese Ha Go tank which has armor from 6-16mm has armor of 2 in the rules. Not sure I would go higher than that for an armored car even though the M8 has mar...

Re: Lard America Reps

I ran the WaT "Tiger in the Woods" or the "Fury" scenario. I also did a 15mm Philippines scenario on Friday. I am glad you got in to Pat's game on Saturday and enjoyed the game.

Re: Coastal Patrol...

On the PC front there is now a computer version of sorts. Naval forces for "War Thunder" was just released and concentrates on the patrol and torpedo boats with the largest ships being destroyers. Free to play as well which keeps me from dropping 100 quid on some new shinny bits from Warlord ! Any r...

Re: Paint match for 'Sherman Drab'?

I did mine with VMC US Dark Green base, and then a lightened version of same (with a touch of VMC Medium Grey I think?) as a highlight. Nice weathering job! I use A...

Re: Firing smoke

How about a card along the lines of 'impressive bush'? The effect would be to counter an acquire and you could have as many as you want available to whichever side you want. Each tank could have a couple, the team could have a pool and so on. Just a thought. Kind regards, Richard That's a great idea.
