Re: Who does 28mm WWII Allies in winter gear?

There are loads of pictures of WW2 British troops in North West Europe in leather jerkins.

Re: 5th Light Mot Div 1941

Greetings It’s difficult to tell but the account of MG8’s operations in the assault on Tobruk (https://rommelsriposte.com/2020/04/30/first-attempts-on-tobruk-april-1941/) indicates that the battalion was being used as assault infantry and while their (heavy) losses include sMG (so tripod mounted) it...

Re: MDF Tokens

I believe it was a supply problem and they were removed from/kept off the shop until the pre-orders had been fulfilled. So they should be back up in due course I would think.

Re: What about these 1941 Schutzen (Panzergrenadiers) then?

I’ve managed 4-5 10mm figures on a 3cm x 3cm base before but think 4 is the most I would want to put on generally. My desert figures are 4 figures on 40x20mm bases with a more linear look. Not sure if I will keep them like this. In the main sections spread out in the advance and (for me) too many fi...

Re: QRS for setup

We’re you thinking of using grid references for key objectives, phase lines etc? Then you have an entry for the start line, FDL and then objectives, phase lines etc. by company and a reminder of victory conditions?

You're not a real gamer until you have duplicated the same army in at least 3 incompatible scales.
I resemble that remark. ... 1943 Ostfront in 20mm, 15mm and 10mm.

Try https://www.wwiidaybyday.com/kstn/kstnmain.htm.

This is the German KStN to the extent available. But remember that infantry regiments (mot) are different from Schutzen regiments and indeed the latter are listed under Schnelltruppen.

Re: To make TT happy.... basing!

I’ve got plenty of 15mm figures, many of them based on 3cm x 3cm bases, so I’ll be using those. Not sure about command stands yet, as currently also on the same size bases. I’ve got quite a bit of 10mm Ostfront, also on 3cm bases and some part painted 10mm Western Desert where the infantry are on 4x...

Oviedo, the capital of Asturias in northern Spain, was held by the Nationalists at the beginning of the Nationalist rising in July 1936 and was reinforced by Civil Guard and Assault Guards units. Republican militias retook the port of Gijon from Nationalist forces and then moved on Oviedo while Nati...
