Re: 15mm British for the desert: Eureka!

Sorry for the late reply, but I've been completely out of the loop on matters Lard. Don't forget that the Eureka 15mm World War One range includes British for Sinai in amongst the Australian Light Horse, Indians, Greeks, Serbs, Bulgarians, Austro-Hungarians, Italians and Turks...! They are not catal...

St. Alban's pub est. 793 AD forced to close.

It turns out that the Lard Island metropolis of St. Albans is home to Britain's oldest pub, which is so old that some patrons may have been playing Dux Britanniarum for real. Plus, with a name like 'Ye Olde Fighting Cocks', it could come straight out a Richard Fondler scenario for Sharpe Practice. S...

Re: Highway Seven Anzio bridgehead 6mm IABSM game

Great stuff...! Please could you re-fight more of the scenarios from Robert Avery's Anzio supplement...? P.S. I think the Krauts might've had a bit more fight in them than you gave them credit for, because they were all equipped with Panzerfaust 30 according to Robert Avery's scenario notes. Surely ...

Re: A pair of 15mm Crimean 41 CoC games: terrain guide

Also this illustrated guide from Mark Luther on his Flickr: This one's just a bookmark for me. I can never find Mark Luther's excellent instructions for how he sets up his beautiful 6mm games. Here it is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/6mmgaming/sets/72157624232621753/ Definitely worth checking out hi...

Re: A pair of 15mm Crimean 41 CoC games: terrain.

In answer to my own query, I just found the following recent discussion on TMP with answers from Mark Luther including the following: "To answer your latest questions: That craggy look is just a happy result from years of touch up spray paint. The bedsheet now has the thickness of a painter's d...

Re: A pair of 15mm Crimean 41 CoC games

Great game! Maybe it would have helped the Russians to deploy those trenches in wedge shapes to improve their fields of fire and create cross fire in the centre to protect the bunker? Your terrain looks just as good with 15mm CoC as with your justly celebrated 6mm IABSM games! In both cases you are ...

Re: Aden and Radfan 1960s

Sounds great...! Which TFL rules are you going to use...? Maybe Chain of Command for the 28mm Aden urban stuff (or perhaps the yet-to-be-published modern urban shoot-out variant of What a Cowboy?) but perhaps Charlie Don't Surf would suit both Aden and Radfan better...? Yes, I know there isn't much ...

Re: Gert Lush Lard, Bristol, 30th October - Persia 1918 game

I'm interested to see that there was a game set in Persia in 1918 with Bolsheviks versus British Indian troops! Are any more details available, please...? Which TFL rules were being used....? Any chance of this game going on tour or getting written up as an article for Lard Magazine...? https://twit...

SAS armed with new rifle capable of blasting helicopters out of sky

SAS armed with new rifle capable of blasting helicopters out of sky The Hungarian-made rifle has a range of one-and-a-quarter miles and features a barrel that retracts like an artillery gun back into the body of the gun, absorbing the recoil. The Gepard GM6 Lynx was compared to a howitzer. https://w...
