Re: Over watch and panzerfausts
(...) I think that the wording in 9.3.2 is wrong, and the "other than" is a typo. I don't think it is a typo, Emilio. See the FAQ on paragraph 9.3.2. There Rich clearly states: "When infantry AT weapons, such as a bazooka, PIAT, Panzerfaust etc., are used against tanks this is doing what they are d...

PSC Operation Martlet Question
In the Germany Support List Two there is a SdKfz 251/1 "no weapons". Yet in the campaign arsenal table the SdKfz 251/1 is listed as being equipped with an MG. What is the 251/1 "no weapons" meant to be? Thanks for clarification! Maerk (me and my gaming buddy are almost ready to launch into our first...

Re: Representing engineers?
Thanks guys! I am about to assemble a NWE 44-45 british platoon and for starters I have added as the most essential support options: entrenchments, minefield, PIAT team, 2" mortar team, universal carrier. Not sure about the importance of the engineer teams or should I go for the infantry section fro...

Re: Representing engineers?
At least in 20mm engineer figures seem to be available for most armies so I've obtained those. I have the british early war engineers from Zvezda, which are representing a mine clearing team. Are there manufacturers for british wire cutting and flame throwing engineers in 20mm? Thanks for your help...

Re: The capture and subsequent rescue of mademoiselle Mireille Masséna - a Sharp Practice AAR
(...) Great AAR Maerk. Where did you source your "La aguja" figure? Osprey's "Spanish Guerillas in the Peninsular War" makes a short mention of female Guerillas, but "Little is known about them, although they were sometimes mentioned by observers and in a few memoirs." Richard Sharpe too once met o...

(...) I hadn't realized there was fighting between the French and the cantons. What sources do you use? Cheers Peter Glad you like my report, thank you all for your kind words. There is an entry in my blog which gives some background information about the 1798 campaign (units, uniforms etc.): http:...

Early days of March 1798 - a sharp practice AAR

Showcase: Sarissa Barn converted to 18th ct Swiss Farmhouse
For my 1798 French invasion of Switzerland games, I have converted one of the Sarissa MDF buildings into a Swiss Farmhouse: https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-T1n-Xyh1nto/WgbjLI_HyYI/AAAAAAAADn8/qsaOq0EjHSY1I1rLlye_BtE0msxYwc_KACPcBGAYYCw/s640/IMG_20171111_120055.jpg See http://minimaerk.blogspot.ch/2017/11...

Re: Sharp Practice in Switzerland?
Would have loved to meet you, Shandy. Although our miniature ranges do not overlap (I play 28mm Napoleonics), we could have had some nice games. Well, the times they are a changing.. Thanks for hinting me to the lead adventure forum. I am about to join there and have a look around. best, Maerk http:...
