Re: CoC 28mm Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf.D Hanomag

Hot on the tails of the British M5 is my first attempt at German Armour. This Hanomag will soon be seeing action against the Red Devils..... Should be interesting to see how Man U cope with it. What do we think - a diamond midfield, or perhaps two wing-backs sweeping in front of the centre-halves? ...

Re: AWI airport defence scenario

Of course, the cause of US aviation wasn't helped when those nutters at Salem executed the pioneers of manned/womanned flight and burnt their infernal machines/broomsticks....

Re: CoC 28mm British Halftrack

The only suitable ones I've seen in 28mm are from Victory Force Miniatures , but postage costs from the US to Europe are nuts. I'm not paying more for the passengers than I did for the vehicle! Not wowed by the quality, either - they look like they've just heard that the concert party from "It ain'...

Re: AWI airport defence scenario

What rule set will be best for this? Sharp practice or chain of command? You could also try Tax Britanniarum, Trumps, Weapons & Tictacs, Georgie Don't Surf, Hire the Hun, Through the Tea and the Blood, Triumph of the George, or (my personal favourite) Quid Rant 13. Or you could go for a simple game...

Re: CoC 28mm British Halftrack

Perhaps a word in the shell-like of the folks at Empress who are currently making the "be-all-and-end-all" of late war British infantry ranges? https://www.empressminiatures.com/great-britain-30-c.asp (packs LB1-LB7) (It is a shame there aren't any - you've got AB and HaT in 20mm, but nothing in 28m...

Re: SP AWI Escort Duty AAR

Reading the report and your follow-up comments/assessment, you may (or may not!) be heartened to know that your failures were more or less historically accurate. Despite American historians playing up British prowess to make their own performance seem more spectacular, the reality is that in 1775, t...

Re: Out of my depth

Of course the 17/21st Lancers are a different story. 2 regiments amalgamated. Don't ask for consistency in the British army. I always liked the 16th/5th Lancers, so listed because the 5th had been disbanded for indiscipline in 1798, and then re-raised later and so was considered junior to the 16th,...
