Re: Retreating and Heavy Guns

N66,

If Heavy Guns have a tow they can Retreat and withdraw as normal in a limbered state but can't react withdraw from a close assault.
see pg 37 - React withdraw

If they have no tow - they can't retreat or withdraw, they must hold in position and suffer the consequences.

Re: Points and balancing

O Group is different to other rules and an O Group point's based game is not about trying to balance out every single advantage or disadvantage, to do so would not produce a historical wargame, even accepting it's a "points" game. Points to consider: 1) Command: First off, let's put to bed the "Asia...

Re: HE vs BUA

N66, When tanks fire they -1 for each damage or suppression they have suffered. Does this mean if one tank in a platoon is suppressed and a second tank damaged a -2 modifier is applied, or is it just -1 for any number of suppressed/damaged vehicle? H.E. Fire: If a platoon is carrying shock it applie...

Re: GDA2

So, let's open the debate on how to improve upon General d'Armee. The original draft of GdA was penned way back in about 2014, it had it its final real play-test at the Wargames Holiday Centre in 2016, before moving onto publication in 2017. What are we looking to do? Well I've been on a few "manage...

Re: Return to your own lines.. supports

Melee results are different to Charge results. So, melee results only apply to those units that actually fought.

John, that's correct. On returning to their own lines cavalry are deemed to have reformed into good order.

Re: Withdraw and suppressed units

F, On p 82 it says suppressed units can "withdraw", is this a general use of the word i.e. moving away from the enemy or does it specifically refer to the React Withdraw action? As per the React Withdraw. It came up when discussing rally, specifically if a suppressed unit makes a single rally, if it...

Re: Worn battalions

N66,

Worn battalions are only intended for scenario play, as a worn battalion vs. a standard battalion is at a significant disadvantage and doesn't really fit into the "points" side of things.

Re: 4 x T34-76 support option - 1 or 2 platoons?

M,

Yep, that is correct.

You are "purchasing" 2 x platoons of T34s for 11 points.

No single platoon has more than two AFV sections.

Fall of France 1940

Fall of France 1940. Well, I've at last been able to get play testing and managed to crack out 3 games in the last week! I'm aim to run through each scenario at least twice, which will take a few more weeks, then pass this onto Mr Clarke for the finishing touches! The content will be: FALL OF FRANCE...
