Re: Operation Sealion

Aha! Yes, thank you - I have found this document now and all is explained. Not only do I understand why these Dx ratings are there, the blog post (at http://toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=668#) tells me how to convert the old style Levels to the new.

Operation Sealion

I just bought and downloaded this book, very nice. One thing is puzzling me, though. In all the scenarios the Big Men are not given a Level from 1-4, as normal. Instead they have a dice of some sort - D6, DAv, D6-2 and suchlike. I am not sure what to make of this. Is it meant to be a variable Level?...

Re: A couple of questions

I looked at 2.3, but that doesn't give me the answer. That says that vehicles can move in either Hard ground or Broken terrain (they can't move at all in Heavy or Impossible). Then it has the table you mention. But if the fields are Broken, and the good roads are Hard, what sort of surface are the t...

Re: A couple of questions

Yes, I had spotted that, though I thought my question was quite long enough already so I didn't mention it. But it did make me think, if bicycles get a road bonus, then other vehicles should too - certainly wheeled ones, if not tracks.

A couple of questions

I finally got round to playing IABSM - they've been one of "the" rulesets for a while but somehow I had never used them. Anyway I like them a lot, and in particular I find the card-driven mechanism really works for solo play - which is how I have to play most of my games. So I have a couple of quest...

Re: Yahoo Group

That would be great. The QRS is what I am immediately after, though I was also planning to explore whatever else is in the files. I'd like the fully themed ones, my printer is fairly good, though if they're not too large all four would be handy. The best email address for me is jssecker@hotmail.com....

Re: Yahoo Group

Is the Yahoo group actively monitored? I ask because I applied to join 2-3 days ago and I've had no reponse so far. I only did so to get the IABSM QRS, which only seems to be available on there. I agree with the comments further up this thread, that Yahoo Groups are from the Stone Age - or maybe the...
