Re: Stalingrad scenarios

I believe Peter has hit the proverbial "nail on the head" in respect to CoC dense terrain fighting, ie how do you decide how many troops can fit on a specific floor in a building. Team or squad does not always work because of the variable sized units as noted above. I have struggled with is at times...

Re: Vehicle mounted MG

Yesterday in my CoC VL6 game, I had a PzB 38 ATR to drive one of those Harmon-Herrington Armoured Car, of course I foolishly lost the ATR and drive to fight it off with LMG's.......did not go well for me!

Re: Mortar Barrage Positioning

We have used TT's rules for mortar and they work well. Basically the beaten zone is round and variably sized and it moves in the direction of the firer's choice but is regulated by a d6 throw (the number of which are chosen by the firer). There are other changes in respect to effect and duration.

Re: GDA2

I think I am saying that maybe there is a little too much complexity to some of the mechanics!

Re: GDA2

I should say the review by Chasseur is first rate and although I do not agree with all his points, I do agree that the game needs to be quicker. I have played maybe 7-8 games and not finished one. Every PC game I have played has come to an end.

Re: GDA2

Well, I have not played a lot of games and nothing since the pandemic started. I Have played quite a bit of PC as well and I do like the streamed lined charge/melee In that rule set. So maybe I agree with option B, but I have not played as much as those commenting above. Generally, I am not averse t...

Re: 6mm O Group

15mm, I also played on a terrain 72x48 cm. I just did a straight conversion of everything. I think though that the terrain was a little small, so I am planning my next game on a 24x48” terrain. That will certainly give much more space.
