Yes it should but I am not sure if the rules actually say that.
I am not sure if you are correct as the hits are already assigned to a specfic team.

But I am frequently wrong!

I agree, the defender's supports for each table are already in place in Bloody Bucket and the core would be a fresh platoon. Still no response from Rich on FB. Although opinion appears to go with a fresh platoon. It is an interesting choice for the defender as he only has 2 platoons for the campaign...
