AAR (CoC): Back at the Bridgehead of Arnaville

We played another game set at the bridgehead of Arnaville in 1944. This time the Germans counterattacked! http://northern-wargaming.blogspot.com/2019/06/aar-at-bridgehead-of-arnaville-1944.html?m=1 https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=117381.0;attach=100835;image Enjoy! Re: CoC AAR: At the Bridgehead of Arnaville 1944

Thanks gents! And thanks for the feedback. Yes those MGs are a challenge. Especially as you can get them to fire with full effect even in cramped conditions (like a window or crowded cover). In hindsight a mortar battery most defenitely would have helped. Those 10 dice from the HMG that lessens cove...

CoC AAR: At the Bridgehead of Arnaville 1944

Hi, I've posted a Chain of Command report on our blog. Its the US 5th Infantry Division having crossed the Moselle river south of the fortress city Metz in september 1944. The Germans of the 17th SS Panzer grenadier division tries to contain the bridgehead to protect the flank of the German position...

Great report! I really like the first picture as it makes it easy to "navigate" through the rest of the report. /Mattias

Re: Achtung! (Summer special 2017) Mini-campaign questions

That is beautiful! I'm also interested in gaming Hurtgenwald so its great to see your version of it. Regarding the mini campaign I was a bit surprised with Rich suggesting a third squad as a support option. I liked the idea of the Germans being understrength. To me a third squad then seems like a gi...

Chain of Command: Counter attack in the West 1944

As you might have seen on the CoC FB group I've put an AAR up on our blog with some pictures from our latest game. Panzergrenadiers attacking an US infantry platoon in the Attack and Defend scenario. https://northern-wargaming.blogspot.se/2018/04/aar-german-counter-attack-in-west-1944.html?m=1 /Matt...

Re: Achtung! (Summer special 2017) Mini-campaign questions

Great information in this thread. And a great start on those bunkers! :-)
Another question: does the MG08 machine guns count as 10D6 heavy machine guns or something else?
