Our World War Two master rules are written to provide the gamer with ease of use and accuracy at Company level. The basic unit in this game is the eight or ten figure section, with the lowest command being the Platoon or troop.


Turns are card driven, providing a variable order each time, with not all of your units being able to function all of the time. This is designed to reflect the uncertainty of command in real life, with a commander knowing what he wants his men to do, but not always being sure they will do it! This is tempered by the availability of his command team, the "big men", be they officers or NCOs, who animate the battlefield, bringing to action the troops who without leadership would be quite happy to sit in a ditch and whistle Glenn Miller songs.


Great care has been taken to produce an accurate yet enjoyable game, with a well researched section on armoured combat and heavy weapons to provide support for the infantry Company at the heart of your force. The rules use some of the simple ideas behind the original Kriegsspiel rules to produce a speedy result, and consequently need the gamers to make certain basic decisions that will repay him by avoiding reems of paperwork and lists of factors.


The core rules are designed to work along side one of the four theatre specific supplements, Blitzkrieg, Gotterdamerung, Footsteps of the Legions and Shadow of the Rising Sun, that provide all of the information needed to run your games for a specific part of the war. With orders of battle, weapon stats and national characteristic details these will allow you to tailor make your force for the campaigns of your choice.
