Well, it does have a limited range. In my experience, the Russian really needs to hold back his AT assets until the German armour appears.

Most definitely. With a pre game barrage though that can be a phase too late to help the poor infantry.

Had already watched it - Brilliant table. Was expecting a lot of casualties when the Russians jumped out but apparently they'd all forgotten to load their guns!

They had their one chance to inflict some pain but didn't dish enough out. Then had to contend with the return fire of 8 MG 34s

And 64 dice = a lot of pain. Even I could probably manage a few hits with that number; well, "probably" might be a bit of an exaggerations - I did once roll 56 consecutive dice without getting a single 6 in a game of British Grenadier (AWI rules - skirmishers get 1D6 per pair firing, only 6s hit, no modifiers; 8 pairs over 7 turns).

Two more excellent reports - looking forward to the next one!
