Nope. Can't find it. Sure I've seen it somewhere, but for now, I guess consider it a suggested house rule TT!
It's p80 of the main rule concerning the Medical Orderly.

I quoted the rule from page 80 MRB esrlier in the thread but still cannot see any reference to EStern Front exceptions at page 80.

Which is whai Tomm and I were discussing.

I’ve given Soviets the option of medics in campaign weekends. Don’t remember anyone ever taking one though.... :D

My point exactly. When i did take one he ended up 24" from the officer shot so was of no use. The officers he was in range of led charmed lives......so maybe it worked

Hmmm... I took a medic along with my DAK in a recent game and not one of my leaders got hit. So maybe they do kinda help? ;)
Thanks, Matt

Never discount the fear factor. If he was anything like the military medics I've met, you'd shrug off losing a limb (or even two) to avoid his tender ministrations!

Now you have Chaplins to shoot as well as medics and Commissars in BA
Plenty of info on Soviet medical care

I think part of the issue with Soviet medics is they were called 'nurses'. Which to the Western mind conjures up a picture of behind or away from the lines. But reading the first person accounts, it's clear they were fulfilling the role we would call a 'medic'.

This. The Soviets had combat medics. Kind of weird to suggest they didn't IMO. I'd always assumed it was just an oversight in the Soviet list that they were omitted, but look at PSCs like Kursk they seem to still be missing.

Just grab a pencil and write them in as a List 1 option.
