CanCon 2020 - CoC Blitzkrieg

Post by Capt Fortier » Wed Jan 29, 2020 11:45 am

I've uploaded to my blog some photos of the BRILLIANT tables and terrain from the Chain of Command Blitzkrieg games at last weekend's CanCon 2020, the masterful work of John Bond - and one shot as a taster:

My photos do NOT do justice to the tables, which were truly beautiful and so much fun to play on. Congrats and many thanks to John, Steve and Scott for their efforts in the organisation and delivery of what was an excellent weekend of gaming.

Great to see. Road closures and fires made Canberra in accessible from the NSW south coast over the weekend, so was sad to miss out on a CanCon visit this year. Thanks for posting those pictures, good to see John continues to set the bar high when it comes to those CoC tables.

What size are the figures in the game in the photograph above?
No plan survives first contact with the dice.

28mm. The loaded boat was John's handiwork (maybe Steve too). The figures behind are mine.

Yes I believe the rubber boats were not great at stopping the bullets? 😋

One player took two mortar hits on one boat and put a case for a bounce... to no avail!

Well, rubber development has come a long way since May 1940......
