Bloody Bremen Germans

Post by Gingermick » Wed Jun 12, 2019 11:05 am

Hoping to start a bloody Bremen campaign.
What are people’s thoughts and experiences on the the ratings for the German platoons?
Would the fallschirmjager still be rated as elite and would the volksturm be green?
Cheers
Mick

I think the general consensus is that from 1944 and beyond, Fallschirmjager are only regular not elite. Volksturm should be green

Depends on the FJ division IMHO you need to do a bit of research. I am not aware of the BB campaign does it list an FJ div by name?
Also date is important big difference mid 44 compared to 45

We played FJ as regular (phased and red dice not existing back when we played it) and Volkssturm as green. We had a finely balanced campaign so I'm not certain it needs any adjusting. The FJs supreriority is factored into their 'surrender' die roll, they are the least likely of all available units to surrender prior to a scenario. As it happened the Volkssturm put up quite a resistance, far beyond anyone's expectations. Our AARs are here if you're interested in reading how it played out https://thetacticalpainter.blogspot.com ... and-2.html

It was in the Christmas Special 2017.
