D&D spirited defence scenario set up

Post by Fettster » Thu Oct 11, 2018 5:22 pm

Title says it all. How should you set up the spirited defence scenario. I can't make sense of diagram to the description. Especially where the defenders place their deployment points.

Thanks

For example you have a 6x4ft table. Divide the table up into 2x2 areas so you end up with six areas. Imagine they are labeled thusly:
ABC
DEF
Blue picks an area to enter from and then Red picks two area adjacent to Blue's to defend. So if Blue picked D to enter from, Red could pick either A,B or E to defend. If Blue picked B, then Red could pick any of the remaining areas as they are all adjacent to B. He just has to pick two areas to defend placing a primary deployment point in one and a secondary DP in the other. Blue then places another DP, I assume in any area not picked by Red to defend.
That's how I interpret it.

That makes sense, kinda close to what I thought. I realise of course that now my campaign players will chose a different scenario...
Kind Regards
