Bloody Bucket

Post by gsymko »

I have two questions one is a clarification the other a general question

1. If the Orn River is bridged can the German use Tanks on table 6 even if they only have table one.

2. Has anyone out they won with the Germans? I'm having a particularly hard time.

Wondering if you have won with the Germans, how did you do it?

I'm wondering if I'm missing something. :D

1) Yes, I assumed that they are using the flanking movement, I don't see any reason you need to process down the road and its not mentioned.

2) No, but I fancied I was on for a draw!

Don't send your green troops to do ANYTHING, I think the key to the BB is using support and just use the squads as padding and mop up.

Before the bridge is up look at using REGULAR x2 MMG's with an additional SL in conjunction with an LMG squad if you have it on the right maps, that's an easy possible 36D6 a phase....I used the LMG to put down covering fire on the enemy while the MMG's stripped them. The 75mm gun is a good option also.

When the bridge is up...look no further than a Panther with a SL!

You need to be very careful with it, but its VERY VERY potent.....3 ci means you can dump shock and still fire and move. I even used a CoC dice to interrupt and move to ensure i was at a longer range band with front facing against a Bazooka. Used well its very hard to stop for the US troops.

Its not an easy campaign and it difficult for both sides, its not for the novice CoC player and does benefit from having a GM and needs careful tracking.

I do thing its a gem of a campaign however and do want to play it again.

Not all of them.....

But the MMG is listed as Regular, we also assumed the Sniper would be.

All supports are considered regular unless specifically mentioned otherwise.

Hi All,

Another Bloody Bucket question or 2

1. If American troops are forced off a table you roll for how many can leave. The ones that get away are they added to the force on the next table?

2. With mixed troop types Green/Regular if they are each supporting each other were 3 or better hit the green troops, but 4 or better hit the regulars, how do you allot hits?

Thanks for all the responses. They have already payed off

You dont allocarw hits you allocate shots.

You then roll for effect.

The allocation of shots is based on range proximty and cover..

I guess you can factor grade into the equation.
