I'd have gone for Henry Cooper and Nigel Benn, but there you go.
No plan survives first contact with the dice.

Funny my first thoughts were Henry Cooper and Joe Bugner.
I guess it is Spits and Hurries not Gloster Gladiators and Harts?

Gotta hand it to the pilot of the Camel - you couldn't pay me to go up in that string bag powered by a faulty lawnmower engine!

A faulty lawnmower engine that rotated and would plunge your plane into the ground if you did not pay attention.

I had an actual lawnmower that used to do that.

Re: Two Iconic Brit Fighters
Well, you're now officially halfway towards building a plane to engage Fokkers and Pfalz's over the Somme
But to come back to the original topic, it's just sad that things like "stalling speeds" exist, because if it wasn't for that, it would have been a great thing to see a Camel, a Spitfire, an English Electric Lightning, a Jaguar, a Tornado, a Typhoon and a F-35 flying together!
... but well, at least, it'd be possible without the Camel, which could then fly in formation with helicopters.

EE Lightning is one of my favorite jet fighters of all time and the Aifix kits was one of my earliest builds.
