I ran this 40mm ACW game using Pickett's Charge this past weekend at Southern Front in Raleigh, NC. This is a great regional convention that pulls folks typically from the southeastern US and always has a high quality of game.
This scenario featured AP Hill's Light Division with 4 brigades attacking 4 brigades of Union- 19 CSA regiments vs. 12 USA. The Confederates led a valiant assault but were rebuffed by the Federals who continually laid down withering fire as the rebels struggled through Boatswain's Swamp and across Boatswain's Creek unformed. The result was very historical in that these 4 brigades were turned back and it was left to Hood's Division later in the afternoon to finally turn the Federal left flank.
Here is a folder with all photos from the convention

Nice representation of "freshly minted" abbatis!
No plan survives first contact with the dice.

Thank you! Yes I'd like to dull them down a little but it's what I had available and went with it. They were freshly cut so I thought they'd not have "browned" much. Next I plan to add the stumpy field out in front of the works.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 5:35 pm Nice representation of "freshly minted" abbatis!
