Napoleonic Variant of Chain of Command
For those so interested in the play testing of the Napoleonic variant here is a recent AAR with a summary of some major changes in the playtest version of the rules.

Re: Napoleonic Variant of Chain of Command
Thanks John
Although playing a lot SP these days, my gaming group is keeping an eye on this as the troop scale and playing mechanisms fit better with what we want to play Napoleonics. Two of my club buddies participated in the testing and I'm planning to join them now

Also watching this, any time scale planned for release?
Re: Napoleonic Variant of Chain of Command
Nothing definite. The rules are still a work in progress with the latest version being a response to earlier comments from play testers. We need to try more games with the new version and give feedback to Daz.
They are definitely playable as they stand and like John I like them a lot, but I think they have a way to go before they would be ready to publish in what is one of the most competitive markets in Wargaming. Personally I think they would be ideal for the core of a great TFL Special.

Re: Napoleonic Variant of Chain of Command
Thanks. I agree with John E, there is a way to go and the recent major modification to the command and movement rules need some touching up.
It is not a bad thought to put the preliminary ruleset in a TFL special. I would like to see the ruleset get some more exposure now. There only appear to be 2-3 play testers who are putting out reports so I am happy hear that you are involving yourself Benito. I hope you put out some reports.

Re: Napoleonic Variant of Chain of Command
Our 2015-2016 gaming season concluded today with a biog SP game (10 leaders per side).
We will return in September and my gaming group is considering giving the rules a try. We are definitively interested in larger scale battles than those allowed by SP

Is it possible to get a copy of the playtest rules, and to join the playtest group?
