Building a list from scratch

Post by Fallschirmjager »

How does one purchase level 2 and 3 leaders for Romans?
There is no cost for a level 2 or 3 leaders.

I am assuming if I a constructing a list from nothing (not using pre-made list like Caesar in Gaul) that a status 1 leader costs 3 points (since that is the cost in the support options menu.

Pages #'s or guidance to FAQs appreciated :)

Rich has previously confirmed in response to posts on here and FaceBook that a Level III Warlord costs 10 points. You can only have one in your force.

He also confirmed that there was a last minute printing error which omitted the Status II Leader from the List 6 option in both Roman lists. So one will cost 6 points.

Further to John’s excellent response, if a Roman general picks a level 2 leader for drilled Roman troops, he is an Optio. If anything else he is a normal L2 leader.

Yes they do, it’s in chapter 12 Leading Characters on page 72 under the title Optio. Hope that helps

Thanks. That's a pretty cool and characterful rule.
