Units with Mixed Weapons get 1 shot/2 men. Other Units get 1 shot/man.

It's in the section which covers army lists and which weapons those troops are armed with.

Rich answered my question about cavalry shooting at the video comments section. Mounted warriors shoot with 1d6 per two figures, and mounted skirmishers shoot with 1d6 per one figure. What makes numidian cavalry too efective in my view. More than iberian cavalry, that were considered by ancient writers better, because greater "strength and daring".

Better at missile fire, sure, but there are a ton of other ways which they are worse. They can never form mobs, they roll fewer dice in close combat, and they withdraw after only a single round of fight (as opposed to two for Mounted Warriors). So no, they're not more effective overall, they're just more effective in a specific role.

Don’t charge Numidian cavalry unless they have nowhere to go but hit them with missile fire - they die just as easily!

Numidian light cavalry are vipers and unlimited amnmo. Iberian cavalry are only light cavalry. I think that is a lot of advantage.

Vipers and Well Supplied means that charging Numidians is risky (they throw their javelins at you, then evade. And as evading can be done unlimited times, catching them will be hard and of course every time you charge them, they'll chuck more missiles at you . . .)

Iberian cavalry at least will be able to throw just as many javelins as the Numidians so long as they don't charge them - but only for three rounds . . .

Mounted Warriors will throw half as many javelins and will struggle even more to catch the Numidians if they do charge them (when they'll have received a volley of javelins . . .).

While I don't mind the Numidians being good troops, I think they're a bit overcooked compared to other cavalry in terms of their relative historical performances.

It's a pity its too early for effective horse archers.

Hard to throw javelins when you are full of arrows! 🤣
