15mm measurement

Post by Pvt weezle »

Been playing WAT in 28mm. Now I want to try 15mm (have lots of early war stuff in that scale). I'm wondering what measurements people are using. Specifically, are you keeping same measurement as 28mm or maybe adjusting too: one inch converted to 2cm...?

Just keep it as it is. Works fine.

Works very well using the distance and ranges as given. No need to change anything.

Will do gentlemen.....thanks for your quick reply. Looking forward to better maneuver opportunities. Love the look of 28mm but don't have room for large table. Playing 15mm on 6x4 table.....

I am going from 28mm to 15mm as I have a 4 x 4 play area. Do you recommend that I still do not chance the distances?

We always have used 1/72, it works well with the rules as is. 15mm will work as well, I am sure! :)

Thanks for the reply - I was just concerned as I have 28mm tanks which I hear were too big for a 4ft x 4ft area. So when I saw that you all play 15mm with no change to the measurement distances I was concerned that 4ft x 4ft still would not be big enough for 2-4 tanks.

The answer is that the terrain will dictate whether the 4x4 is too small. With plenty of LOS blocking terrain, it should be plenty big enough.
