Moving off the table

Post by SteveBurt »

We had something happen last night that the rules don't cover.
A damaged Stug had backed up against the table edge. It was hit by fire from a T28, with equal strikes and saves, and had to retreat 5".
So it backed off the table.
What happens? We rule that the crew has suffered morale failure and bugged out, but is that the correct thing to do.

Fun to have a T28 on the table!

In case you don't have the rules to hand, page 29 says tanks stop on the table edge.

Except that Tanks can leave the area if they are outnumbered by the enemy, forget by how much they had in the videos.

It's one of the ways a game can end when one side decides the odds are against them. In that case, we play it that the tank can leave the table - just because he wants to run, doesn't mean he makes it. :-)
You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!

Indeed! One of the things we changed immediately was the victory conditions! - we just play it that if one player feels he is going to lose, he can leave the table!

We haven't played the Red Army yet though.....
