Humbers and Pumas and Stags, oh my

Post by vlad48 »

As "Tanker" madness grips the world I can see gamers - or even Nick and Rich themselves - expanding the stats and traits to include armoured cars, recon vehicles and other classes.
One trait, for example, could allow vehicles to go backwards at full speed, for example.
Another interesting variant could be a "Recon" trait.
Once per turn a Recon vehicle that hasn't activated could attempt to interrupt an enemy targeting it to shoot. The Recon vehicle would then roll 2 of its Command Dice - needing a 7 to interrupt - and if successful could roll all remaining Command Dice and try to get enough Move dice to escape. (this could only happen once per turn)
Of course these are just ideas (some could be game breakers) but the great template Nick has created certainly looks like it can grow and evolve. (although granted "What an Armoured Carer!" doesn't have much of a ring to it)

Yes, those of us with Pumas would love to get them on the table - the inspiration for my post. I figure they should get Fast and Small Target anyway.

Not sure how small the Puma is. The Panhard now, there's an armoured car!

I suspect 'Fast only on roads' for wheeled vehicles, and I don't know how many could turn in place. Slow in rough terrain. Less easy to cross an obstacle, too. There was a reason for tracks...

The Puma is bigger than a few tanks that aren't classed as small. But at 2.10 metres high it might qualify as low-profile.

Is that the one that constantly goes around yelling "You couldn't make it up!"?

I think common sense works with the Puma, fast on road, cannot turn in place and I see it as small.

Interesting discussion as I have one model used as support in my CoC games
Considering the Puma’s gun (75mm), would it merit to be in the “tank destroyer” category too?

Are you sure it's just not far away?
