Following Richards instructions. . .So what will come next? Working from where you’ve started will it be 1814? Some of Napoleons finest campaigning, lots of belligerents. . . Or do you go right back to the beginning? And work up to 1814? What are your thoughts DB?

Currently pondering either an 1814 Defence of Paris or 1813 Vittoria linked battles scenario supplement.

1813 Vittoria linked scenarios for me please Dave since I'm a Peninsular buff, but I can understand there will be quite a clamour for 1814 Defence of Paris given the interest in that campaign.

Personally I'd prefer you forgot about both and focussed on the 1809 Campaign instead so that I can play with my Austrians and Bavarians! :-) :-)

I would also go for the linked Vittoria campaign but even though I have no Austrians etc. etc. I have several non-Anglo friends (ie French) who I am sure would love to see some focus on Napoleon's central european camapigns.

Very early peninsular for me though as I have some Spanish.

1814 all the way! I really like the idea of a linked scenario book too, some of napoleons finest campaigning in 1814. Although Vittoria would be great too. Why not both- first we had 1815 then 1814 then 1813 . . . Which would mean 1812 after that (I wonder what sort of campaign you could focus on for 1812 . . . 😁 )

Would love to see Vittoria Dave. We played the expanded Guarene scenario yesterday from the recent annual (2017?) and its got me thinking about a big peninsular game with all my three Brit divisions on the table plus lots of cav... :)

Dave
Anything will do, both options look interesting to me. I really liked the Hundred Days book format.
On another matter, have you given a thought to some form of campaign rules? Since the introduction of the Chain of Command Pint-Sized books my club mates and I only play campaigns, very different way to play and more interesting than the casual engagement.
Not implying with this to adopt the CoC approach (the travails of one specific unit over a period of time) but something like linking specific critical/key moments of a battle or a full campaign to decide the winner?.
There’s some interesting stuff in the I Ain’t Been shot Mum scenario books like the Vyazma for example.

Has anyone played through any of the scenarios yet? I had a game planned but had to delay - I got engaged! So lots of family now feel the need to come down to London and see us over the next few weekends- that’s two bank holidays worth of painting time gone in a flash.
Im hoping the end of this month will come quickly and I can get a game in then. Would like to hear of others experience if they have any to tide me over until then though!
Cheers
