We are refighting the games from years ago when we used the Partizan Press Napoleonic Scenario Books. These are excennt books and I recommend them to you all.
Currently we are about to embark on the first of the three Austerlitz games 'Attack on the Pratzberg'.
We would seek advice in relation to troop grading. From a previous post I remember that GdeB 'veteran' = GdA 'Grenadier' and that GdeB 'conscript' = GdA 'Recruit'.
However, what does 'GdeB 2nd class line become in GdA?

Re: Old Napoleonic Scenario Books
Through the different inquiries on this subject in the forums, the conversion list we use.
GdB GUARD = GdA ELITE
GdB ELITE = GdA VETERAN
GdB VETERAN = GdA GRENADIER (optional)
GdB LINE = GdA LINE
GdB Second LINE = GdA RESERVISTS (optional)
GdB Conscript = GdA RECRUIT or GdA ENTHUSIASTIC RECRUITS (optional)
Hope this helps.

Mark:
How does the cavalry ratings transfer (campaign/battle/heavy)?

Re: Old Napoleonic Scenario Books
Ah, cavalry ratings are a little more tricky.
We use this as a guide line only.
These are not as set in stone for us. You may find exceptions moving up or down a rating.
GdB GUARD = GdA Heavy Cavalry
GdB ELITE = GdA BATTLE CAVALRY
GdB VETERAN = GdA BATTLE CAVALRY
GdB LINE = GdA CAMPAIGN CAVALRY (A few Line Grade units could qualify as BATTLE CAVALRY)
GdB LINE (INFERIOR MOUNTS) and below = GdA CAMPAIGN CAVALRY
COSSACKS = GdA COSSACKS

Re: Old Napoleonic Scenario Books
I was wondering whether the GdB elite cav would be classified as battle or heavy in GdA. I guess the elite lights would tend to be classed as battle while the cuirassiers and other elite heavies might merit an elite status.
This has been extremely helpful, Mark - thanks again!!

Yes that is how we would play it also. Those are part of the exceptions where Elite Heavies could very well be Elite Heavy Cavalry while the other Elites would be Battle Cavalry.I was wondering whether the GdB elite cav would be classified as battle or heavy in GdA. Hello,
and what about number of skirmishers included in OOB ?
Do you use them or discard them and then recalculate them according to GDA rules ?

Re: Old Napoleonic Scenario Books
Here is how we use the extra skirmishers listed in the OOB.
For Skirmishers we use:
18 Figures; add 2 skirmish bases to the Brigade skirmish screen.
12 Figures; add 1 skirmish base to the Brigade skirmish screen.
