Hi, we have been playing General d'Armee for a while now and it is our club's accepted set for Napoleonics. We also have a big interest in ACW and have stacks of figures languishing in storage, waiting for the right set of rules to come along! My question is, do GDA and Pickett's Charge use similar rules mechanisms? Just a clumsy way of asking what are the similarities and differences between the two please?
Thanks
Pete

Re: GDA vs Pickett's Charge
They are quite similar, so knowing how to play GdA makes PC a breeze. The charge and support mechanisms are a less complicated, the ADC posting have some interesting variations. I really like the ruleset.

Thanks John. That's me off to the website to get a copy!
Re: GDA vs Pickett's Charge
I went the other way round! I started with Pickett's Charge and liked the mechanics so much I decided to have a go at GdA where the mechanics are slightly more involved. So going the other way should present no trouble at all! The only thing I do not particularly like is the Risk to Generals, I feel they do not reflect ACW so have provided an alternative in this forum!
