Taking Cover

I have the electronic version of IABSM v.3 and have been studying up for near future games.

I see that a section can 'Take Cover' as one of its actions but cannot find information on what this action does. Probably overlooking it or overthinking it.

See 2.2.8 "Digging in". Units using action to take cover increase their cover level by one until they move or fire.

Thank you. Whenever I read the first bit about Digging In (that you can't dig foxholes in the time represented by the game), I quickly kept shooting on to other sections.

EDIT: I also see there's a sidebar on p.32 (last sentence of the 2nd paragraph in that sidebar) that notes Taking Cover makes the target count as one level cover better than it actually is.

I've also started playing any pinned unit also counts as taking cover (ie 1 level better) until the pin comes off at tea break.
