EW Handbook on pre-order

Post by Nick B » Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:51 pm

Just in case you missed it on TFL Twitter and Lard Island - the new EW Handbook is now up for pre-order.

Looking forward to this very much - need to build my French once I choose which force/ORBAT to go with. :D

Hard copy only for now, but there is mention of a PDF so if that's what you're after you'll have to wait until 17th Sept.

Erm, it's 'France & Low Countries 1940'; no Poles, Danes or Norwegians in it. Belgium, Britain, France, Germany, Italy & the Netherlands are the list headers.

I understand the handbook is already almost twice the size that was originally planned, that work on Denmark in 1940 at least, is already well advanced, possibly as a ‘big’ Pint Sized Campaign. There are limits to what one man can achieve in the available time.

Agreed.

I also think that the 'campaign-based' approach Rich has taken is the best one. Obviously it will take a lot longer to cover the whole war than with more broad-brush 'yearbooks' or 'nation books' but it's ultimately much more nuanced and comprehensive and plays very much to CoC's strengths.
Faith! If they tried to outrun a Hielandmon, they stood but a bad chance, for Whash! went the broadsword.
