PTO Here we go!

Right chaps and chapesses, I am currently working on the final lists of the Japs and Yanks in the Pacific and I plan to go on to an Australian list too.

The Japs are essentially in two lists - the winning years (1941 to 1942) and the losing years (1942 late to 1945). The USMC are in three lists, 1941-42, 1943 and 1944-45. The US army so far just have one list for the Philippines. I have all of the infantry sketched out and all of the armour done for the Japs. So, what vehicles should I be including for the USMC, US Army where different and Aussies in particular?

Any help here could get these completed pretty rapidly, then I am on to mid war in Africa, Italy and Russia.

I have a generic USMC list for all periods with vechiles including stats for the M2 In 194, however I am away from home this weekend so I won't be able to get it to you until Tuesday

In short for the USMC they get the M2 early on, the the Stuart. Around 1944 they get the Sherman and finally the Sherman 105 plus various Amtraks

No M3s or up gunned or armoured Sherman's

I know it's not what you asked about, but I thought I'd ask here as it seemed as good a place as any.
Are you planning any Burma lists ( Japs / Brits / Chindits / British Indian.)

The main vehicles used by the Australians in the Pacific were the Bren Carrier, M3 Stuard and the Matilda including the Frog (armed with a flamethrower)

Buffalo, I am planning all sorts of lists including those. We did Chindits in one of the Specials which will be resurrected.

Yes Matilda, Stuart's and Bren carriers for Aussies. Maybe as a what if you could put in the Aussie made Sentinel tank. Eureka miniatures makes one in 15mm.

Afternoon all. This week we've been working on the PTO lists for Chain of Commmand, the first of which are now added to the files section of the Yahoo Group. These are Japan 41-42 covering their rapid expansion, then Japan 43-45 covering the years of more static defence. Additionally, we have USMC for 1941-42 which covers the period up to Guadalcanal. We are working on two more USMC lists, 1943 and then 1944-45, but I wanted to get the first draft out as input would be welcomed. I am attempting to seek pout USMC infantry manuals to assist in this process but its a bit of a tangled web as there were significant structural changes during the war.

Hi Terry

Thanks for that. I've been sidetracked with the rugby since lunchtime, but I am sure I've seen some stuff on line. Tomorrow I'll do a big trawl of Fort Leavenworth.
