A CoC Challenge!

Postby PatG » Sat Jul 12, 2014 3:08 am

cross posted to the yahoo group.

If you are a war gamer, you probably have a favourite nation, battle, unit or even vehicle or piece of kit. And that means you have likely done some reading up on it. And that means you know just a bit or possibly a great deal more than the rest of us about it.

So here's your challenge: Grab your stack of Ospreys, books or URLs, the latest Coculator and make a list for Chain of Command. I doesn't have to be perfect, it doesn't have to cover the whole war but it should have some basis in fact so please include your sources. It could be a list for a specific campaign or battle or even a scenario like Pavlov's house. Share your knowledge and be gentle with your commentary.

As motivation, I will offer two prizes each consisting of a type 22 pillbox, a type 24 pillbox and a bunch of assorted barrels and dragons teeth custom 3D printed for you in any size or scale under 32mm. They're British prototype but generic enough for most theatres. Mike Whitaker's blog has better pictures than mine:http://troubleatthemill.blogspot.ca/2014/06/3d-printing-eyeopener.html
Yes I'll cover the postage as well. ;)

The first prize will be for the "Best List"
The second prize will be for the "Most Interesting List"

Judging will take place September 15.

Excellent. Thank you for doing this. I think it will be interesting. Do you want just the list or a campaign to go with it?

Great idea!

I've already compiled a list for 21st Panzer from D-Day to end of June. I hope to post Normandy 6th Airborne, 51st Division & maybe a commandos list soon too.

Is there a specific/best place to post it to? At the moment they're in excel & if I'm right, no files can be posted here on the forum?(Please forgive me if I'm being thick)

Just the list is fine but if you would like to share the campaign as well that would be much appreciated.

In the absence of a reply as to where's best to post lists, I have put mine up on my blog here:http://bulletsbandagesandlard.blogspot.co.uk/

Any comments/corrections/observations are most welcome :D
