Query on ‘Triggering’ Close Combat

Post by Captain Darling »

Hi All,

A search of the rules and this forum didn’t resolve a query that came up in a game we played last night so can you please give us your thoughts on the below situation...

We had a Close Combat which the attackers won decisively and they advanced which resulted in them then being within 4” of a different ‘enemy’ unit which was in their new position in their line of sight...given that the rules say that "Close Combat happens when one infantry force moves to within 4" of an enemy which it can see and to which it has a clear path." and advancing is ‘moving’ we assumed it would trigger a new Close Combat.

How would you play this out?

Thanks!

Well Rich did this on one of his BK videos on you tube

I have to admit I had not come accross this or even considered it before seeing the video, but I guess ypu just follow normal combat rules.

No D6 for movement perhaps?

Fight it immediately, including all ‘first round only’ factors on table 15.

Thanks for the quick replies, looks like we played it right by initiating the new Close Combat.

Cheers!
