Covering Fire

Post by mgluteus »

Covering fire markers are placed on terrain, not on troops according to the rules. My troops were in a building that was under covering fire - the covering fire markers were up against the building. The troops ran out of the building toward the enemy but well outside the placement of the covering fie marker. Are my troop now out from under the covering fire?

I would say yes.....but without seeing their final placement....causing movement is a bigger minus than the actual covering fire, generally.

EDIT: This is what you get for posting at 5am before first coffee...

Yes, if they move out of the area of terrain covered then covering fire no longer applies to the unit. The enemy JL would need to order it to cover their new position.
