Abbeville 1940 PSC

Post by sackatatties »

Hi all,

This has been floating around on Facebook for a while but I don't think Travis ever posted it here. So for all you non-facebook people here it is:

The latest version of the PSC can be found here:

Travis and his crew are playing the scenarios at the moment on Tabletop CP.

Hmmm first impressions looks very good . Terrain maps look OK plenty of flexibility in the forces - will be interested to see AAR as to how the victory conditions work but I wondered myself whether to do the Brit attack or defence and these guys did both!

Apologies if I missed a vital aspect of this, but during the firefight in the woods in Game 2, wasn't the left-hand German squad (from the German perspective) also in the open? It's just that the British were taking "kills" on 5 or 6, whereas the Germans only took kills on a 6.

Otherwise, excellent games (and bad luck, Andre, in Game 1 - as a man who can throw snake eyes using average dice, I feel for you!!! ).
No plan survives first contact with the dice.

The woods tend to go all the way to the bottom of the table. I'm fairly sure that was the way Travis set his table up.

Yeah TT - the victory conditions are always a bit tough to gauge unless the campaign has been played a couple of times. The only thing I'd change would be to add an 8th turn to the ladder where the Germans can still win a minor victory. The Brits can't counter attack though and things can go bad pretty quickly for them in this one. We'll see what happens with the Tabletop CP campaign run through before changing anything I think :)
