Looking for converted french AFVs in 1/72

Post by Tellus » Sun May 05, 2019 7:42 pm

Hello Guys,
for our KG von Luck Campaign, I'm looking for an Unix P107(f) and a Pak 40 on a S307(f). I wasn't able to find any of these two in 1/72 till now, may be someone here can point me in the right direction.
All I could find was the 15cm sFH13 on the Lorraine Schlepper from Early War Miniatures, I only had to replace the crew with Minis from AB Figurines.

That vehicle always looks so narrow, you worry it will fall over sideways (a bit like Fred Flintstone's car when the waitress delivers the platter of ribs).

I created these for my Von Luck campaign. It was a while ago and all I know is that the half tracks are resin and I am almost certain they came from the Rapid Fire Ready to Roll range https://www.rapid-fire-uk.com/product-c ... -vehicles/. The Lorraine Schlepper could well be the same as yours from EWM. The figures are mainly PSC. Sorry, a bit vague but that's all I can remember.

MLB is probably right - RtR seem to be the only folk making what you want that is in production. If you don't like their offering, you will probably need to hunt down some OOP MMS (ref 034) for the Unic. Alas, can't think of an alternative form the PAK 40 on Lorraine. Alby make a bunch of German conversions of French vehicles, but not AFAIK what you want.

I wouldn't bother tracking down the SP Pak-40, you won't use it. The paras don't have any armour, and if you want an SP packing some HE you've got the mighty Schlepper. I think I only used the Unic half-tracks in one game too, so we just proxied in a 251.

Personally I'd just get the Schlepper, you'll be using that a lot.

AFAIK Milicast do a number of tank conversions (Ranault R35 and Somua), but neither of the two vehicles requested by Tellus.

DenBels might be another source of the Unic 107 SPW and command versions.

The 15 cm sFH13 auf Lorraine Schlepper has also been / is available from...

Retrokit (ex. Exokit) but is probably OOP at the moment.

S&S (sandsmodels)

MGM: May be OOP

Shapeways as a 3D print model
