Martlet Campaign-punch from Wunsche

Post by bvera » Sun Apr 14, 2019 2:52 pm

Need clarification
The wild card option (page15) is a reinforcement force that plays together with the main German force of the campaign?
Or in the contrary, this force plays alone agai st the British? Looks like a very small force to confront a reinforced British platoon in an offensive
Thanks

They aren't reinforcements, they're a standalone force. You're right, two tanks and two small infantry teams probably will struggle against a full platoon of British infantry. But they'll also delay the Brits for a whole campaign turn and doing so won't cost you any men from your core platoon. Any losses you inflict on the Brits will be a good little bonus.

Don't forget the Germans also get a few support points, when we played it the German player brought along an AT gun to tangle with the British armour and it did amazingly well: https://tinyhordes.com/operation-martle ... m-wunsche/
