I'm curious as to why the US force ratings for regular infantry and armoured rifles were reduced. When I run them through the "coculator" the original ratings (+1 and +4) would seem to be pretty much correct.

I don't mind, I've only bothered to think about it because I am starting to paint some Yanks up. It's just that they seemed to get a lot of bang for their buck compared to what I'm used to (I currently run Soviets).

For the leg infantry I make it:

3 squads each:
JL with SMG = 7pts
10 riflemen = 12pts
BAR = 3pts
Total = 66pts

HQ:
SL with carbine = 9pts
SL with SMG = 10pts
Bazooka = 4pts

That makes the platoon 89pts, which is +0. That doesn't match either Rich's original rating or the one published here. If you leave out the bonus for the semi-automatics then they do indeed come in as -1, I wonder if that was just overlooked?

The rating for the armoured infantry is a bit trickier, as you've got loads of uncrewed bazookas, so it depends how you rate those. If you count them all as zero or 1 point then you get 98 or 101pts, which is the +2 rating. If you count them all as 4pts you get the old +4 rating. If be inclined to go with the +2 rating, as pulling men out to man bazookas reduces your rifle firepower.

89 is one point less than +1 so I figured they made one of the "right on the line" calls. +1 is definitely closer than -1, which seems pretty generous especially given how good the US national rules are.

The armoured rifles are undoubtedly trickier.

Still, as I'm going to be the one playing them, I suppose I shouldn't complain ;)

I must have missed out the semi-automatic bonus.

I'd agree with the +2 rating due to the bazookas.

Just wondering. Has anyone put a list together for the defence of Berlin i.e Children with Panzerfausts that kind of thing?

Question: I'm building a few lists and checking details for some games coming up, and so am building myself a 1944 Volksgrenadier Platoon. Now, I want to add an option similar to the Barbarossa one in which you can outfit a few men with semi automatic (g43) rrifles. This is on the list as 2x on list 1, same as 2x SMGs, though given the much cheaper nature of semi automatic rifles, would this work better as 2x per squad?

Hi all, do we have to take the following caracteristics instead of the ones in the rules book ?
Is there any PDF with updated datas, somewhere ?

Thanks

===============
GERMANY
Infantry Platoon Regular = 0
Infantry Platoon Green = -5

Panzer Grenadier Platoon Regular = +3
Panzer Grenadier Platoon = +9

Fallschirmjager Platoon Regular = +5
Fallschirmjager Platoon Elite = +12
les paras sont considérés comme une troupe agressive

Notes on German forces: On reflection I have decided to stick with the original list where a leader with an SMG add +1 (rather than +2) and there is no cost for rifles and pistols. I did toy with the idea of an uplift of one list value for units with more than five LMGs, but on reflection I think we are better off sticking to the formula and not making adjustments.

BRITISH
Infantry Platoon where the Lieutenant has a pistol = -1
If the officer has a Sten or Thompson then this increases to 0

Motor Rifle Platoon = -1

Airborne Platoon = +9

USA
Infantry Platoon = -1

Armored Rifle Platoon = +2

Parachute Infantry Platoon = +3 (+9 si organisation Market Garden à 3 groupes)

Notes on US forces: In the infantry platoon the BAR team should have ONE crew and two riflemen. Their list is costed accordingly.

SOVIET UNION
Infantry Platoon Green = -7
Infantry Platoon Regular = -3

Tank Rider Platoon Regular = -2
Tank Rider Platoon = +2

You're strongly advised to, naash, as they should be a bit fairer.

Thank you for answering so quickly. ;)

Is there any "official" document somewhere or should I just take this in consideration with my teammates ?
