Using straight CoCulator, that would be a lot cheaper.
2*SL == 18
2*JL == 12
.50 hmg == 10 (I'd add at least few points for it being hmg, so say 14)
3*60mm == 12
2*mmg == 20
For total of 76 pnts -> rating of -2 without jeeps, assuming regular and 5CD
Not a lot, but then again that platoon is very fragile and not very mobile in rough terrain.

Richard

How would you apply the CoCulator to the case of the German Sdkfz 7/1 20mm Quad AA cannon mounted on a halftrack...with unarmoured cab ? I picked one up to use with Bolt Action, but since abandoning BA for CoC have not been able to use it.

Thanks

Morning all

Right, back from Antwerp and now ready to address the issues of unit costs. I think the best place to start is to begin is with the lists in the main rule book. I have crunched the numbers and these now come out thus:

GERMANY
Infantry Platoon Regular = 0
Infantry Platoon Green = -5

Panzer Grenadier Platoon Regular = +3
Panzer Grenadier Platoon = +9

Fallschirmjager Platoon Regular = +5
Fallschirmjager Platoon Elite = +12

Notes on German forces: On reflection I have decided to stick with the original list where a leader with an SMG add +1 (rather than +2) and there is no cost for rifles and pistols. I did toy with the idea of an uplift of one list value for units with more than five LMGs, but on reflection I think we are better off sticking to the formula and not making adjustments.

BRITISH
Infantry Platoon where the Lieutenant has a pistol = -1
If the officer has a Sten or Thompson then this increases to 0

Motor Rifle Platoon = -1

Airborne Platoon = +9

USA
Infantry Platoon = -1

Armored Rifle Platoon = +2

Parachute Infantry Platoon = +4

Notes on US forces: In the infantry platoon the BAR team should have ONE crew and two riflemen. Their list is costed accordingly.

SOVIET UNION
Infantry Platoon Green = -7
Infantry Platoon Regular = -3

Tank Rider Platoon Regular = -2
Tank Rider Platoon = +2

All of which is true too the original CoCulator. This means, of course, that I will need to work through all of the lists thus far provided and recost them. I am going to work on that today.

We are also close, weeks away, from completing the master armour list for the entire war. This covers the following countries:

Australia
Belgium
Bulgaria
Canada
China
Croatia
Denmark
Finland
France
Free French
Vichy France
Germany
Greece
Hungary
India
Italy
Italy RSI
Italy Co-belligernet
Japan
Japanese clients
Netherlands
New zealand
Norway
The Phillipines
Poland
Romania
Serbia
Slovakia
Soviet Union
South Africa
Spain (Blue Division)
United Kingdom
USA
Yugoslavia

This will cover ALL vehicles, including soft-skins and the much awaited stuff like LRDG and SAS vehicles. However, you will not have to wait for that for the lists which have been issued thus far, we will have them done this week with any inconsistencies ironed out of them.

Any questions or comments, please do shout.

Daft question and my apologies if I've missed it - What's the Coculator cost for a superior junior leader? e.g. The Sergentes in an Italian Fuclieri platoon?

Thanks Rich - great stuff.

Any chance you could publish the lists from the the books as pdfs with the correct force ratings, please?

Cheers

Many thanks for all the effort you are putting into this Rich. As ever the "After Care" service from TFL is second to none. Many other rules authors would have ignored our mutterings.
