I think personally people are giving far too much weight to the number of dice above and beyond the percentages - call it Wargamers memory :D

For example in yesterdays game I had my opponent on the ropes down to 4 dice - sole survivors in three sections at edge of table etc. My opponent rolls 2 x 1 and deploys 2 HMG/MMG at point blank in front of my guys and fires.
ouch, I hurt one a bit 1 shock with 18 shots.
He fires again and rolls double six. So I get hurt again and its his next roll
He rolls 4 dice double six again so again 20 shots another 6 guys die
He rolls his third turn finishes off 2 of my sections and we withdraw. :roll:

If I had had 6 dice it would not have helped and he did not need 5 dice let alone 6 to turn the game from a loss to a win. :P
