Artillery

Post by PaulBaldwin » Mon Jul 17, 2017 4:39 pm

A couple of questions arose from a big game we had recently regarding artillery;

When they say Controlled Volley on the roster for cannon we assumed that referred to Controlled Fire and laying the gun to gain +1 to hit.

Cannon get +1 for First Fire - wasn't artillery in the Black Powder period more accurate after it had fired a few shots as the barrels warmed up?

Yes and yes, I believe so.

For the latter, I suppose you could change it so the +1 applied to, say, the d3+2th shot. Or perhaps say it's because the gun isn't hampered by its own smoke on its first shooting.
Faith! If they tried to outrun a Hielandmon, they stood but a bad chance, for Whash! went the broadsword.
