Converting to 20mm

Post by EvilGinger »

all of my stuff for mid to late WWI is in 15mm but I am a bit stuck. So as part of my improving my scenery I have decided to convert it to 20mm as I like the ranges done by Early war miniatures

I am going to do my Germans first

Half a company of trench infantry

Command section of Senior leader runner bugler & two Maxim machine guns detached from battalion HQ

two Zugs of four groupes of junior leader two bombers & six riflemen

a Zug of counter attack troops

Senior leader with trench broom

two Groupe of junior leader two bombers and six riflemen
one Groupe of junior leader Maxim LMG on sled & three riflemen
one Groupe of Junior leader & two grenatenwefer teams

I haven't done WW1 since the my old Airfix days (the French soldier with the carrier pigeon is still one of my favorite figures). I too am looking at EWM. I have their British and German WW2 troops and like them a lot. I am tempted though to wait for more of the British Army Middle East range to come out and go interwar pulp. We'll see.

I have a platoon of Germans & Belgians on the painting table for 1940 & have been wanting to improve my terrain for WWI & rather liked the stuff I saw from them at Derby. Not having to build all may entrenchments again would be a real advantage,

I've got some EWM WW1 Germans and some of their trench system. I'll be picking up some of the British and more trench stuff at Crisis this Saturday.
You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!

I think he may well manage that on his own at Crisis.

I understand having dodged that particular bullet myself not that I was not really tempted & being encouraged by certain Penguins who I will not name to protect the guilty.

The Wyvern Wargamers are putting on a WW1 game in 15mm at Warfare for M&B.
Only the Sunday I am afraid, stop by and say hello.
