HELP! Looking for a figure

Post by munsterfan8 » Tue Apr 25, 2017 8:40 pm

Having read Patrick McCormack's books set in Arthurian Britain, I am basing my Romano-British force on his characters. In the book, Cei (The Long Man) is depicted as a giant of a man. I was wondering if anyone knew of a suitably imposing 28mm figure - one that is noticeably bigger than figures by Gripping Beast/Footsore/Saxon miniatures? Any and all suggestions gratefully received (I am based in the UK).

Not familiar with the books, is he Romano British?

at a pinch take a look at some of the gripping beast characters, some of the Viking ones are big. Also in the foundry Viking range there are some big character models in there. You may need to swap out the axes for spears or swords etc

There are a couple of "big guys" in the Foundry Viking range. You could also look at Hassle free miniature.

One of the most suitable would be the Gripping Beast Ulf character. He's almost 36mm tall and beautifully sculpted. I think he would make a nice 'Cei' ... -5349.html

Another 'big' one is this Brude from Bronze Age!/FGBRZFADV ... ry=8945475
If you would like a slightly older looking guy here's Drust. he's supposed to be a Pict but could easily masquerade as as Romano Briton!/FGBRZPIC1 ... ry=8945476
You can't buy honour.
