Thanks!

For campaigns I was thinking there are several types of Campaign you can do:

1. Pre-Ring Era: This could be anytime in the Third Age, may events to choose from, or you could set it after the Battle of Five Armies, etc. This could be a "normal" campaign where you are trying to raise your Character to being a chieftain or king, or establish or liberate a Dwarven Hold, etc.

2. The Growing Shadow: A campaign in the years just before the War of the Ring. The results of this campaign feeds directly into the third campaign, the War of the Ring. In the Shadow campaign it's "normal" except for a new type of Escort Mission -- Ring Hunter and False Fellowship. These represent the Hunt for the Ring by Sauron, who knew the Ring had been found and was in motion. In this mission you gain victory points that apply to the War. The forces of Sauron want to find the Ring, and so sent parties of Ring Hunters out to find or narrow the search, and the Council spent resources on misinformation -- so False Fellowship forces Sauron to waste resources he could use to find the Ring. Whatever status and forces, and victory points, you end the campaign with are your starting forces for the War of the Ring.

3. War of the Ring: The forces of Sauron attack. This can be a stand alone campaign or continuation. Your faction must conquer or defend certain other territory or factions. Example, the Easterlings must defeat Dale and Erebor, Dol Guldur must defeat Lothlorien and Thranduil, etc. Victory points accrue to some sort of Fellowship test to see if the Ring Bearer is caught or succeeds.

Some good stuff there John. Real life has really been messing with my plans for campaigns at the moment, but the hospital visits should be over at this point, so I should be able to get down to work.

Yes, the first three decks. Rohan, Isengard, Gondor, Harad, Easterlings, and all generic fate cards except desperare, which didn't fit.

You'll also get the added bonus of getting my cards for my Franks faction for the Domain of Soissons supplement.

Gunnar,
Those cards look great. I'm thinking of doing something similar for "Sacker of Cities" - the Trojan War adaptation for Dux. Any pointers would be very gratefully received.

John Cunningham (EasyEight) did the design work on the cards. I just formatted them for printing at artscow. We're hoping to write up campaign progressions for each faction. John did the Dwarves and I'll be starting with Gondor and Mordor probably. I'd also like to write one specifically for Balin's quest to reclaim Moria.
