Sharp Practice - Encounter at Villar de Ciervo

Post by Capt Fortier » Sat Jun 09, 2018 7:41 am

My first ever AAR, and for a Sharp Practice game: see "Encounter at Villar de Ciervo"
(see https://www.mémoiresmilitaires.com/2018/06/encounter-at-villar-de-ciervo.html)

A simple mission that ended up a mostly straightforward encounter, and an indecisive one at that! But fun to fight and enjoyable to capture and write up. Many thanks too to Vis Bellica and Seret for their helpful and encouraging advice about writing up AARs. I'd welcome any feedback and suggestions.

Possibly re-print the link, as it doesn't seem to work in its current form.

I think this link may be more helpful: Encounter at Villar de Ciervo

Very good write up (and impressive-looking table, too). Enjoyed reading that.

Great table and write up. Looks (as a famous man once said) A damn near run thing!

Quality!

Nice to see more SP reports.
Faith! If they tried to outrun a Hielandmon, they stood but a bad chance, for Whash! went the broadsword.

Agreed! Looks like it was a fun encounter, and the AAR is very well done. Your photos could stand to be a little brighter, but I know first-hand how hard it is to get sufficient light onto a gaming table to take really nice photos.

Many thanks for the feedback. The photos are a challenge - I use my phone and its zoom isn't the best (or maybe its my shaky hand). I might try some shots with and without flash to see if we can get them to pop more.
