The Chindit scenario is in the Summer 2014 Special. I am thinking of picking up some of the new Early War Miniatures Australian (NorthAfrica) shirtless figures for Burma. Will they match up with the AB Burma figures? Thanks.

I haven’t seen the new EWM figures to make the comparison. I’m not a big fan of EWM figures as a rule. That said the quality is improving and so I wouldn’t want to be too hasty judging the new figures. Generally they match up with AB in terms of size but are a long way off in quality.

Great report and unfolding narrative, and love the way your figures and images reflect key elements of the story as it develops - eg. that shot of your CO rushing across to the fork in the road to direct your right flank - he really looks like he is encouraging them on! The casualty figs are also a great effect and tell their own story.

Read through the whole report, really enjoyed it. I suspect once we get through our Bloody Bucket campaign some Far East action will be next.

Thanks! I really want to ensure that readers can follow what happens and understand what’s going on, perhaps even second guess what might happen next or think of a different/better approach. I often get frustrated reading AARs if I can’t understand what’s happening or why, so I’m trying to write the sort of AAR that I would want to read.

Casualties are always a tricky thing and I had mixed feelings at first, but I think they help illustrate the story, glad you agree.
