Success at last. A sigh of relief in the German HQ. Croix de Guerre and perhaps a Legion d'Honeur on the French side for such a stalwart defence.

With the campaign hanging by a thread the Germans push on to scenario 2 with the French trying desperately to demolish two key road culverts. A French victory will throw the German schedule into such disarray the campaign will be lost. Everything to fight for then. The full AAR is here https://thetacticalpainter.blogspot.com ... ts-at.html

Something of an antidote to the Perbais log-jam. Interesting that your campaign is, so far, mirroring the Lard TV version.

It’s the new Airfix 1/72 kit, a lovely model. There’s a bit more about the build here http://thetacticalpainter.blogspot.com/ ... -1940.html

It’s nice to feel the campaign is moving at last. I think Perbais was designed to be tough on the Germans but this one and the next appear to give them an easier ride and that seems to be reflected in the Lardies game too. That despite Nick placing an illegal roadblock when they played this game (French can’t use any fixed defences in the first playing of scenarios 2,3 and 4).
