Sharp Practice AWI AAR

Post by Chaingun »

Hi, below you will find a link to a recent Sharp Practice game we played. Set in the AWI period the mission was fir both sides to forage for supplies.

We had played a few test games previously, but this was our first proper try of the rules.

Feel free to click the link to our blog and have a read.

That's a good report, thanks for sharing. Great figures and terrain make for great pictures.

Thanks Fred I appreciate the kind words.

I totally agree, their are some great figure and terrain companies out there and sometimes it’s a hard choice in choosing between them.

Great looking game and good write up. I've not got any AWI figures but always look like a great period to try.

Always good to see a game of "Tax Britanniarum" as we like to call it at our club.

Incidentally, N American Lardists might like to note that Paul Hicks is starting to sculpt an AWI range for Brigade Games. Some greens/dollies are up on his Facebook site, apparently. Can't help thinking Brigade Games would do themselves a huge favour by getting a UK agent.
No plan survives first contact with the dice.

Thanks again for looking and I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Capt Fortier - The AWI was what got me into wargaming way back but I’d never gamed it all these years. Playing Shar Practice has given me the excuse I needed to start play it and also there are a lot of great miniatures available.

BaronVonWreckedoften - Paul Hicks is a great designer and I look forward to seeing more of his work in the period.
