I did a little test on some fabrics with a view to getting a worthy option for a gaming mat. A load of text and some more painted cloth can be viewed here:

Ha ha ha! Thank you Capt Fortier. I am plagued by an inability to throw things out, so finding something simple and quick to use up excess sprues is rather helpful.
