28mm covered well for SP2 and earlier

Post by BaronVonWreckedoften » Wed Apr 04, 2018 4:47 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a covered well - NOT mdf please - similar to the examples shown below:-
http://www.novusdesign.net/1085-Medieval-Well_p_95.html
http://www.armorcast.com/fantasy/mediev ... l?limit=50

Unfortunately, both of these examples, and all the others I can find (there are a few) appear to be available only in the US and the postage to the UK is horrendous (not to mention the lurking shadow of HMRC with its accompanying ransom demand by Royal Mail). Anyone got any ideas, or better still, one of the above to sell (I prefer the novus example if it helps :D )?

Thanks - I did look at them. Unfortunately, their examples are all eastern European "wooden" types with cranes and the like, rather than the more conventional village style I'm looking for. Plus, they are only selling painted items these days. If it helps at all, I'm looking at this for a deployment point vignette for my forthcoming 1809 Bavarians v Austrians SP2 game.

Beyond that I couldn't tell you, sorry. I expect to see pictures of your Bavarian v. Austrian games, though. Best looking armies of the Napoleonic Wars.

Thanks, those were perfect. I ordered the Stronghold one - with VAT it actually came to more than the US order would have been, but there's no chance of HMRC and Royal Mail screwing me over for the sake of 48p (which is how far over the £18 limit the US product came to with postage); plus I got a useful figure as well, and ordered something else (St Brendan of Clonfert figure) with it for the same postage.

Wow those Tabletop-world buildings are stunning.

They are, aren't they! Unfortunately, I've just learned from Stronghold that their last three covered wells - one of which had my name on it* - were flawed castings, so I now have to wait some time ("weeks" was the provisional estimate) for new ones to arrive.

[* That wasn't the flaw, in case anyone is thinking of getting clever! ]
